　　Two differences between this Austrian version and the generally available American version are immediately obvious: they differ both in their length and in the language of the intertitles. The American version is only 1,883 metres long - at 18 frames per second a difference of some 7 minutes to the Austrian version with 2,045 metres. Whereas we originally presumed only a negligible difference, resulting from the varying length of the intertitles, a direct comparison has nevertheless shown that the Austrian version differs from the American version both in the montage and in the duration of individual scenes. Yet how could it happen that the later regional distribution of a canonical US silent film was longer than the "original version"?
　　The prevalent American version of Blind Husbands does not correspond to the version shown at the premiere of 1919. This little-known fact was already published by Richard Koszarski in 1983. The film was re-released by Universal Pictures in 1924, in a version that was 1,365 feet (416 metres) shorter. At 18 frames per second, this amounts to a time difference of 20 minutes! "Titles were altered, snippets of action removed and at least one major scene taken out entirely, where von Steuben and Margaret visit a small local chapel." (Koszarski)
　　From the present state of research we can assume that all the known American copies of the film derive from this shortened re-release version, a copy of which Universal donated to the Museum of Modern Art in 1941. According to Koszarski the original negative of the film was destroyed sometime between 1956 and 1961 and has therefore been irretrievably lost. This information casts an interesting light on the Austrian version, which can be dated to the period between the summer of 1921 and the winter of 1922. Furthermore, the copy is some 200 metres longer than the US version of 1924. If one follows the details given by Richard Koszarski and Arthur Lennig, this means that, as far as both its date and its length are concerned, the Austrian version lies almost exactly in the middle between the (lost) version shown at the premiere and the re-released one.A large part of the additional length of the film can be traced to cuts that were made to the 1924 version in almost every shot. Koszarski describes how the beginning and the end of scenes were trimmed, in order to "speed up" the film. However, more exciting was the discovery that the Austrian version contains shots that are missing in the American one - shots/countershots, intertitles - and furthermore shows differences in its montage (i.e. the placing of the individual shots within a sequence). All this indicates that Die Rache der Berge constitutes the oldest and most completely preserved material of the film.

　　Last at the Festival with 2017’s rural noir Dark River, a selection in the Platform programme, writer-director Clio Barnard returns to the Bradford, West Yorkshire setting of her earlier films for this tumultuous, fiercely affecting midlife love story.
　　A bundle of good humour and nervous energy, Ali (Adeel Akhtar) is a British Pakistani working-class landlord who forges close bonds with his tenants. One day, while picking up one of his tenants’ children from school, he offers a lift to Ava (Claire Rushbrook), an Irish-born teacher and single mother of five. They bond almost instantly through their love of music, though Ali favours the high energy of Buzzcocks and hip-hop while Ava takes refuge in the quieter comforts of Bob Dylan and Karen Dalton. Despite their divergent backgrounds, differences in their stages of life, and the colour of their skin, despite the fact of Ali’s failing marriage and Ava’s fraught relationship with her adult and adolescent children, each finds themself irresistibly drawn to the other. But can their mutual desire transcend a barrage of personal obstacles?
　　Inspired by people Barnard encountered while making her acclaimed features The Arbor and The Selfish Giant, Ali Ava is a film that feels profoundly rooted in lived experience, blending a tender emotional complexity with an at times bracing depiction of trauma and grief. Akhtar and Rushbrook’s finely hued performances speak to the setting’s cultural diversity and tribal loyalties while yielding a vulnerability that’s alternately heart-wrenching and joyous. Their story serves as a reminder that it is sometimes the least likely connections that are the ones most worth pursuing.

本片由尔冬升导演，描述了何润东与范文芳这对爱情小冤家，由于出身与教养大有差别，互相吸引又互相有顾虑，最有趣的是乖仔何发觉堕落妹范的住所残旧且污脏，忍不住并主动为其打扫清洁，同居后又怕被她纠缠，弄不清到底是否真爱她，后来他激情示爱，不惜狂食迷幻药，其实很突兀，好在那段生死边缘拍出强烈的戏剧性，最具有剧力。本片半香港味半新加坡味，对男女关系的变化过程，相当细腻，剧力转折亦有功夫。

民初女画家潘玉良的传奇一生。 　　潘玉良原是江南的妓女出身,对绘画独有天分，却无人赏识。 　　一次机缘让她认识了芜湖海关盐业总监潘赞化（尔东升饰），随即被纳为妾。她随潘赞化到了上海,因为见她喜欢绘画，潘赞化介绍了专业老师让她学习，从此开始了学画的学生生活。 　　其后由于潘赞化的正室的介入让原本感情很好的二人渐渐产生了矛盾。她于是留学巴黎,渐渐成为国际著名的画家。上海美术学院校长刘海粟观念开明,请她回国任教,不料学风开放的欧洲与国内艺术界的情形大相径庭。一心为艺术的潘玉良被保守的知识分子们指责为“妓女艺术家”，抨击与阻碍她教授的人体画艺术......

　　克莱尔·芙伊、詹姆斯·麦卡沃伊将主演惊悚新片[我的儿子](My Son，暂译)。该片改编自2017年法国同名影片，原版导演克里斯蒂安·卡里翁将执导这部英语版影片。麦卡沃伊将饰演一位儿子失踪了的父亲，他前往前妻(芙伊饰)居住的小镇，寻找谜团的答案。为了体现迷惑感，麦卡沃伊将不会拿到剧本，而是根据每场戏的发展即兴发挥。STXfilms拿下该片北美发行权。

　　该电影讲述了，北宋年间出现了人类历史上第一支官方授权的赏金猎人部队，官称“大将”。大将猫小白（方安娜饰）威名赫赫，实际上却是个武功一塌糊涂，好运爆棚的小女子。而由洪尧饰演神探叶重是一个冷峻孤傲的提刑司判官，和猫小白水火不容。但造化弄人，堪比大宋福尔摩斯与华生的这一对组合，为了断案不得不齐力断金，在诡雨迷云中上演了一段相爱相杀、鸡飞狗跳的爱情。

　　故事发生在充满了异域风情的阿拉伯王国阿格拉巴，阿拉丁（梅纳·马苏德 Mena Massoud 饰）出生在一个贫穷的家庭之中，但这并没能够妨碍他成长为一个善良而有乐观的青年。一次偶然中，阿拉丁邂逅了茉莉公主（娜奥米·斯科特 Naomi Scott 饰），茉莉公主不满足于父亲为她安排的政治联姻，想要接替国王的宝座，亲手带领国家走向富强。与众不同的茉莉公主一下子就吸引了阿拉丁的注意，两人在经历了几次意外之后渐渐的走到了一起。
　　贾方（马尔万·肯扎里 Marwan Kenzari 饰）是一名巫师，同时也是一国之首相，他通过计谋威逼利诱阿拉丁，迫使他踏上了为自己寻找能够实现三个愿望的神灯的旅途。

　　一位早年白头的卡里医生的反抗组织女友沙姆斯，在她情人的住所外刺杀了一名男子，而这位医生的义父陷入了昏迷状态。他对自己的母亲在小的时候抛弃自己感到十分怨恨。后来因为和沙姆斯的关系被以色列警察跟踪。卡里试图挽救这位不省人事的老人尤内斯，就像他在他小的时候救过他一样……

　　陈重（刘牧 饰）是一位销售经理，繁忙的工作和繁重的压力让他压抑的内心蠢蠢欲动。尽管有了温柔贤惠的妻子赵悦（国歌 饰），但他还是和名为叶梅（刘姝含 饰）的女子发展了一段地下恋情。某日，为了和叶梅幽会，他欺骗妻子说自己要去北京出差，令陈重没有想到的是，自己所捏造的航班竟然发生了故障，赵悦心急如焚地担心着丈夫的安危，在陈重好友王大头（李东昌 饰）和李良（张子晨 饰）的陪伴下匆匆赶往机场。
　　王大头和李良早就对陈重的不忠心知肚明，看着赵悦焦急的模样，于心不忍的王大头戳破了陈重的谎言。陈重的婚姻陷入了危机之中，同时，他和叶梅之间的关系亦因为叶梅即将踏入婚姻的殿堂而来到了终点，在工作上，祸不单行的陈重又遭到了同行的陷害。

　　清代同治末年，朝廷腐败，官场更加黑暗。“杨乃武与小白菜”的“奇案”就发生在这时的浙江省余杭县。余杭县知县刘锡彤之子刘子和看中豆腐房葛小杜之妻毕秀姑。她容貌甚美，绰号“小白菜”。刘子和贪恋姿色，暗用迷药玷污了葛毕氏，毒死她丈夫葛小杜。案发后，刘锡彤为开脱儿子罪责而陷害新科举人杨乃武。皆因杨乃武曾与葛毕氏相识有情，并给葛小杜治病，刘锡彤便买通师爷钱如命，用“移花接木”之计，嫁祸于杨。懦弱无知的葛毕氏被百般威逼欺哄，诬杨乃武为奸夫，杨乃武“被屈打成招”定为“谋夫夺妇”之罪。余杭县生员不服，上诉至杭州府，但因知府宝贤与刘锡彤是儿女亲家。徇情得贿，仍酷刑枉断，杨乃武遂冤沉海底。众生员仗义扶危，再至浙江巡抚杨昌溶府衙鸣冤。葛毕氏痛悔自己放真凶，污良善，企图翻供。怎奈三大宪俱已受贿，官官相护，贪赃枉法，葛毕氏翻案不成反受酷刑旷世奇冤活路断，铁案铸成何能翻?杨乃武胞姐杨淑英曾在刑部尚书夏同善府中做过绣娘。为弟伸冤，千里跨涉赴京求援。时正值清室东宫与西宫互争权势，西太后之心腹醇亲王欲乘机除去东宫之亲信杨昌漕，因而接受杨淑英状纸，将全案人犯与原审官员提京勘审。但由于刘锡彤再逼葛毕氏，致使刑部大堂未能审出真相。于是夏同善设“密室相会”之计，使葛毕氏与杨乃武倾吐实情，招出真凶。杨乃武三载冤狱才获昭雪。

　　第二次世界大战初期，美军飞行员罗伯特·史密斯（乔什·汉纳姆 Joshua Hannum饰）到中国加入了抵抗日本侵略军的行列。在一次从印度往中国运送物资的航程中，他驾驶的军机不幸失事坠落于西藏神秘的高原。坠机后的罗伯特奇迹般地活了下来，他试着寻找返回部队的路。但恶劣的气候环境使他举步维艰，幸而来到一个藏人部落。当地年轻的藏族女子雍措（宋佳饰）是位单亲妈妈，却被族人称为“被诅咒的女人”。于是族人决定由雍措来照顾他。一头金发的罗伯特被当地藏民视为怪物，更遭逢藏族青年农奴江措（何润东饰）的一路追杀。在这样一个情感封闭的空间里，罗伯特和雍措相爱了。两颗失落的灵魂，踏上了一段独特的旅途。
　　这部由新锐导演戴玮执导、国际级摄影大师李屏宾拍摄的西藏冒险爱情电影《西藏往事》，根据著名藏族作家、西藏作协主席扎西达娃的小说《香巴拉的猫》改编而成。该片拍摄于4800米之上的西藏高原，拍摄条件非常艰苦。2010年10月16日本片在第19届金鸡百花电影节举行展映暨首映仪式。
