　　A quick glimpse at the cast for this film would make any horror fan giddy with glee. The actual movie doesn't live up to those high expectations, but it's far from being all bad. Desi Arnaz Jr. (!) plays an author who makes a crazy $20,000 bet with his publisher that he could write a great novel in only 24 hours. To do so, the publisher gives him the keys to an old abandoned house where he won't be disturbed. Not true. Once he gets there he is interrupted by a multitude of guests including a family which consists of John Carradine, Sheila Keith, Peter Cushing and Vincent Price. They are gathered there in a twisted family reunion to release their brother from the room he's been imprisoned in for forty years. Even Christopher Lee drops by as Corrigan, the man who has just purchased the house. Soon, they realize that the caged brother is loose and out for revenge.
　　What a great plotline and what a dream cast! This movie should have been a hell of a lot better. It's hard to pinpoint the exact problems with the film, but I would venture to say that the lack of lighting was a major fault. Sure the house has no electricity but I think they took the title of the movie a little too literally. Scenes after scenes are barely visible and the actors' faces are undecipherable. Only the moments in the main dinning hall are well lit. Also, the great actors are given very little to do. Cushing gets a few chuckles as the scared brother but Price, Lee and especially Carradine are somewhat wasted here. Well, at least Price gets the best line of the film: `Please don't interrupt me while I am soliloquizing.' And on the plus side, the story has enough twists and turns throughout to keep one`s interest and the ending, while a bit of a cop-out, manages to surprise.

　　相当成功地将喜剧和悬疑元素交融在一起。William Powell和Myrna Loy 饰演的夫妻档，是影史上第一对塑造成功的屏幕情侣组合！本片导演就是影坛上有『一次OK』之封号的 W.S. Van Dyke，本片他只花了两礼拜就拍摄完毕！由华人黄宗沾担纲摄影指导。本片独有的喜剧悬疑风，也成往后这类型电影的祖师爷。Albert Hackett和Frances Goodrich 根据 Dashiell Hammett 的小说改编成剧本。后来还拍摄了五部续集。

　　海湾战争导致一批美国军人与平民被伊拉克俘虏，美国总统汤玛斯·本森（劳埃德·布里奇斯 Lloyd Bridges 饰）亲自下令解救人质，然而无厘头枪战过后，是营救队反被俘虏。距离总统大选只剩十天，于是人质能否得救尤显紧要，传奇英雄托伯•夏利（查理•辛 Charlie Sheen 饰）临危受命，自远东丛林回国又匆匆前往波斯湾营救同胞，在出发前，将参与此次秘密营救的CIA美女米歇尔与托伯激情相聚，为英雄的情史再添华彩。一行人抵达中东，与担任联络员的戴美达（瓦莱莉•高利诺 Valeria Golino 饰）汇合，托伯重逢旧爱，然而却因人质中有戴美达的丈夫德达（罗温·艾金森 Rowan Atkinson 饰）而不能逾礼……

　　王祖蓝（王祖蓝 饰）是一位山寨明星经纪人，某日，在带着手下一帮山寨明星参加一位香港土豪的生日宴会时不慎东窗事发，情形十分危急。阿超（温超 饰）是土豪的准女婿，他向王祖蓝伸出了援手，王祖蓝发现阿超的声音和星爷极为相像，于是大力举荐他到香港发展，认定其星途无量。
　　在香港，阿超结识了王祖蓝的妹妹王祖红（陈嘉桦 饰），王祖红是星爷的超级粉丝，平生最恨他人靠模仿星爷赚取眼球，无奈阿超的声音和星爷实在太过相似，为讨王祖红的欢心，阿超只能在她面前装聋扮哑。然而，就在两人的距离渐渐靠近之时，阿超的伪装穿帮了，愤怒的王祖红选择了离开。

迈克尔·彻在奥克兰重返舞台，探讨了美国的爱国主义、黑人领导、嫉妒心强的前任、出逃的熊和心理健康等众多话题。

普朗（波莉雀娅·彭娜妮可 Preechaya Pongthananikorn 饰）是一名英语老师，她的一名学生想和男友吉姆（Sunny Suwanmethanon 饰）分手，于是用英文录了一段分手宣言，拜托普朗播放给吉姆听。哪想到伤心欲绝的吉姆竟然将过错怪罪到了普朗的头上，他觉得正是因为普朗教了女友英语，女友才会弃他而去。 　　时隔不久，吉姆再度找到了普朗，这一次，他竟然请求普朗教他英语，因为他想要出国挽回女友，于是，两人成为了师生。在相处的过程中，普朗发现了吉姆的善良和坚强，对他渐渐产生了好感，吉姆亦然，与此同时，一位名叫普雷克（Popetorn Soonthornyanakij 饰）的富有商人亦在热烈的追求着普朗。夹在两个男人中间，普朗会做出怎样的选择？
