荒唐镜与刘华东是清代广东民间两个很有名的传奇人物，荒唐镜诡计多端，他素来与刘华东不和，碰面时例要互相戏弄，斗扭六壬，由此牵出趣事连篇。
剧集用“六度分割”理论串联起三个不同的爱情故事：向言（何蓝逗 饰）和林衡宇（曹煜辰 饰）是“命中注定”，林衡宇是独身主义，却因为向言愿意走进婚礼的殿堂；谈诗诗（梁颂晴 饰）和是然（吴海 饰）是“非你不可”，他们相差六岁，是然努力的目标就是有朝一日和谈诗诗并肩而立；路念（靳阳阳 饰）和蒋旗（王浩歌 饰）是“一见钟情”，他们都善于伪装，蒋旗小心翼翼地靠近只为给路念绝对的安全感。
